Our directory currently includes 10,566 Kerala place records and 102 practical business categories.
What our place directory represents
Place names are drawn from LGD-derived administrative records and named OpenStreetMap place nodes. This build includes 1,666 source village rows, 78 taluks and 9,995 source OpenStreetMap nodes before merging overlapping names. Administrative villages, neighbourhoods and everyday place names do not always have the same boundaries or spelling. Records retain source and district information; repeated names are disambiguated by their URL.
The LGD-derived records use the 25 September 2026 snapshot distributed in the pinned village-finder release. The OpenStreetMap place snapshot is dated 3 November 2026. Neither is a live Google Maps export.

Business categories
The industry directory is a practical marketing taxonomy informed by the National Industrial Classification and business activity categories. The complete imported taxonomy contains 4,656 division, group, class and subclass records across NIC 2008 and NIC 2025. It is not an official register of every Kerala business, nor evidence that AdSquirrel has worked with a particular category.

Reuse and attribution
The combined place database is offered under the Open Database License. It contains information from the Local Government Directory under Government Open Data License India and © OpenStreetMap contributors. This dataset license does not apply to the website’s original code, design or marketing copy.
Coverage and corrections
No source can guarantee every hamlet, informal name, newly developed locality or alternate transliteration. We do not claim complete coverage. A locality page means that we offer services to that area; our stated physical office remains in Kalamassery.
